A Couple of April Sketch Groups

In April and October we like to take advantage of the good weather and sketch every weekend. These sketches are from two weekends in April.

We went to the Cooper Young Farmers Market and then to Overton Park one Saturday. These are my sketches from the day.

Mary K VanGieson's sketch from the farmers market.

On another Saturday we went to Crosstown to sketch everything, but it was unseasonably cold so we mostly sketched from inside the Cleveland Street Flea Market.

Here are everyone else's sketches!

Three visits to Crosstown PART 2

sears crosstown

In August of 2013, we visited  the Crosstown area again. This time I drew the Sears tower
before it got too hot. When the temperature became unbearable, Mary Jo Kaemnia arranged for us to cool
off and draw in the Cleveland Street Flea Market across the street.

Three visits to Crosstown PART 1

The Memphis Urban Sketchers get to go to all sorts of unusual places. On March 3, 2011, we went
inside the Crosstown Sears Building, which has been in the news lately because of recent renovation plans.

Tthis building was built to last.
