Central Library Sketches

As you can see by this fairly large pile of sketches, we had a great group of artists at today's meet-up at the Memphis Public Library.  In perfect January fashion, we welcomed many new faces and were happy to see several old friends (E.A. you were missed).  Since it was my first time to lead the group, I was thankful that the library staff was welcoming and the patrons were very supportive.

The library provided a wealth of different perspectives--we had some great sketches done through the windows on the fourth floor, wonderful character studies, and several people who represented the whimsical, colorful forest of sculptural trees at the entrance of the children's section.

As you can see from these images, it was a great day to draw!
