Broad Avenue Art Walk

• 10:00 AM - meet at the City & State patio (east side of City & State at Broad Ave and Collins St.) to say hi to everyone, then find a good sketching spot on Broad before the crowds get there.
• 11:00 AM - the art walk starts so it will start to get crowded!
• Noon - meet at the Water Tower Pavilion to share sketches.

This month we're meeting at N Perkins Rd and Princeton Rd at an abandoned church that is likely to be torn down soon. Let's go document this interesting building before it disappears! Please park on Princeton Rd - the parking lot appears to be closed.

Munch & Learn at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens

At noon on Wednesday, June 26, several of the Memphis Urban Sketchers who are participating in the show at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, First Saturdays, will present a panel discussion, "Why You Should Be an Urban Sketcher."

We'll talk about how we got interested in urban sketching, our favorite tools and subjects, and how you can participate.

Memphis Urban Sketchers Show "First Saturdays" at Dixon Gallery and Gardens

We are excited to be exhibiting our sketches at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens! First Saturdays, a show of framed sketches, sketchbooks, and scanned sketches displayed digitally, is up now through early July.
Join us for Tours at 2 this Tuesday, April 23 at 2:00 PM to learn more about the exhibit. There's also a reception on May 16, and a panel discussion on June 26.

March Sketch Group at Crosstown Arts

Next sketch group is Saturday, March 2, 10:00 AM at Crosstown Arts (upstairs on the east end of the Crosstown Concourse). Meet at the top of the red stairs. Plenty of art and architecture and people to draw here!

February Sketch Group at The South Main Market

Next sketch group is this Saturday, February 2 at 10:00 AM. Come in and say hi, grab some food and make some sketches, and if it's nice out head outside! We'll meet up at noon to share our sketches.

January 2019 Sketch Group at Edge Alley

On January 5 we met at Edge Alley for our first sketch group of 2019. We had fun sketching inside and out on this unexpectedly sunny day.
